The Americans #920
Sergeant Robert J. Bryce
U.S. Cavalry, 1876

A weatherbeaten and hardbitten campaigner,
Sgt. Robert J. Bryce, has followed his commander,
the yellow hair boy general, from his campaigns at
Bull Run, Gettysburg, Winchester and finally on to
the plains of the Great West. Therein the searing sun
and frigid cold, he flawlessly and faithfully performed
the duties of a Sgt. campaigning against the Sioux
and Cheyenne. Even on that fateful Sunday in July 1876,
he stood ready with his cavalry carbine to protect
his "general" at the Last Stand.
