The Americans #943
Sydney P. Chivers
G
ambler, 1870

The Gambler, living by his wits and fast gun, started his
career as a young man moving from town to town, any place
with a saloon and a card game. Well known for his
dapper appearance including a high silk hat and cane,
his quick draw and accurate aim earned him the
less-enviable reputation -- a gun fighter.
An infamous career ended when he was gunned down
by friends of his last victim. The funeral was attended
by many to see the tall silk hat atop the coffin.
